Scam Alert: Bank of America MFA Text Message

Posted By: Jessica Patterson - 2/1/2019 12:00:00 AM

You may have received a text message with a 2-factor authentication code directing you to call a phone number if you did not request the verification code.

Example:

If the number is called, you will be notified by an automated system that your card may have been compromised and since there may be fraud associated with your account you should enter your full 16 digit card number.

Feel free to delete these text messages.  If there is a doubt in the authenticity of an alert, it is always best to use contact information off the company website.
